Greetings, dear reader!
Are you one of the people who’ve been waiting for the sequel to the adventures of Sabas and Reny who so bravely fought the Lergesh on Nilib-6? Let me bring you some good news:
The wait is almost over!
With gratitude to Renée Barratt for yet an excellent cover, I am proud to announce that “Wanted: adventurer” is being prepared for publication. The plan is to have the e-book out there on the first day of December of this year at all the usual gathering places like Amazon, Apple iBooks, Kobo, Barnes & Noble, Smashwords and so forth.
As usual the paperback will take a little longer, the more as I’ve decided to change printers for the Wanted-books.
If you want to know what this new book is about, read on:
In this sequel to “Wanted: hero” we follow Sabas and his alien bride Reny as they are looking for their own home. When they receive an invitation to visit the Souverein and his family again, they are immediately up for the journey there.
A concert and meeting someone who works in a library are the starting points for an adventure into an area on Nilib-6 that Sabas has never heard of. Remarkable encounters and unexpected discoveries are the fast paced elements of this new trip for the two.
Will they ever get home? Why do they go up in the air? And will Sabas and Reny succeed in becoming parents? You can find the answer to these and more questions in “Wanted: adventurer”.
Yes! Hilda is coming! Soon too!
No need to excuse my enthusiasm. Live with it or run away screaming. In the latter case please send me a recording of your screams as I collect interesting vocal expressions.
Tomorrow is the day! Hilda’s 20th adventure will hit the e-shelves! And it’s a book about a book! A book of Dragons! Real, live, big, dragony fly-beasts! If you want to know how to get one, buy the book and find out!
And what’s this adventurer stuff then?
That’s coming too, be it a little later. I hope by the end of November. I’m talking about the sequel to “Wanted: hero“. It will be called “Wanted: adventurer”. It was a really difficult book to write which threw surprise after surprise at me. All came out well in the end, despite a lot of dust, cracks and airborne problems. Maybe you remember Reny and Sebastian, also known as Sabas to throw the ugly Lergesh off his trail. There are more adventures (well, duh) lined up for them. And yes: there will be Nordrish too. 😀
The last bits of things: Nanowrimo!
Winter is coming to the north, as we all know (except for Jon Snow; he knows nothing). But November also means Nanowrimo. Despite the fact that I’m working on 2 Hilda books (one in edit and one in writing) I plan on starting another book about Hilda’s world. This one will be different though. You may remember Baba Yaga’s absence from her bestest girlfriend’s life. Well, this book is going to detail where she went and what happened during that time.
Until all that is done you can either read one of the many books all those writer types from around the world have created especially for you, or you can join the Night’s Watch and wait for the Army of the Dead to arrive. Up to you.
But whatever you choose to do: stay alive and enjoy it!
Yes, amazing bouts of energy…
This was what I saw when I got up. I admit, it’s not the time for normal people to get up but then, I’ve never claimed to be one of those. I took this picture at 4:23 in the Ante Meridian, also know as silly o’clock.
There were two reasons to be up this early. One was an incredible amount of sirens around 4am. That hardly ever happens here so something big (bad…) must have happened. I still don’t know what the upheaval was.
The other reason was that I was awake, which is as good a reason as any to get up. I like getting up early. It gives me views as the picture above.
I’m still working on getting all the edits for that in place. Carol’s been working very hard to locate every typo and mistake I carefully hid in the text. She’s doing an extraordinary job at nit picking so I may have to find some better nits…
“Wanted: adventurer” is, as you may have guessed, the sequel to “Wanted: hero“. At first I was very reluctant about writing this second book, but comments and gentle pressure from some sides made me give in. It’s better to start a new book with all your fingers attached to the proper hands to write it, trust me.
And so this book is becoming a reality. The cover is still underway but I hope to see that soon(ish). There’s still enough work to do on this book. This morning I sat myself down and worked out more three chapters with edits. That inevitably resulted in some changes, tweaks and other adjustments, but all for the greater glory of Sabas and Reny.
I have 8 more chapters to go through, then I’m putting the book aside again and read it from start to end, to see if there’s anything that still needs a wiggle.
And that’s about it for this tiny update.
Have a wonderful weekend!
